Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor is regarded as the most sensational fighter in the UFC. His charisma and fighting prowess have earned him the moniker, ‘The Notorious’. He is known to speak his mind, and he never hesitates to challenge someone. UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal shared a post recently, where he mentioned that the Irishman almost got knocked out.

Jorge Masvidal shared the post and wrote, “You can see #ConorMcGregor’s life flash before his eyes…” Masvidal referred to an incident that happened back in 2015. Conor McGregor was at the UFC gym on The Ultimate Fighter. The Irish icon was making a note of honesty and loyalty and making that it is the sign of a true world champion.

Apparently, the Irishman was constantly demeaning Cody Garbrandt by calling him a “snake in the grass.” This made Garbrandt angry about it, and McGregor asked him, “you intended to do something about it?

The latter replied, “I’ll do something about it.” Following that, ‘The Notorious’ got up to fight and Garbrandt pushed him away. Quickly, the other teammates got in between and stopped the brawl between the two. 

Well, the Irishman was never knocked out before fighting boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. But according to Masvidal, this encounter with Garbrandt had the Irish fighter shaken as he almost got close to being floored.

Conor McGregor’s training to make a striking return 

‘The Notorious’ has been inactive in the sport lately, because of a leg injury from his last fight in the octagon. However, now he seems to be fit to return to floor opponents again. Recently, there have been rumors that he will fight Mayweather in a rematch.

As per reports, ‘Money’ has offered the UFC star $157.9 million for a rematch. The former had emerged as the winner through a 10th-round technical knockout. It was one of the most lucrative fights in the sport’s history. The rumor about a rematch has already made the fans go wild.
