During an interview, Garcia fired shots at the five-division champion by calling him old and claiming that he was past his prime. Garcia wants Mayweather to fight Conor McGregor on the undercard of his fight against Gervonta Davis.
Ryan Garcia fires shots at Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor
Ryan Garcia is coming off a scintillating win as he knocked down Javier Fortuna. However, the 23-year-old wasn’t humble in his victory. In an interview with ESNEWS, Garcia stated that Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are past their time and they should be fighting on the undercard of Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis.
He claimed that the boxing legend and the UFC legend are past their time and won’t result in an interesting fight. He said, “Yeah, they can fight on the undercard because they are out the window now they are on the way out you know what I mean. You guys aren’t at your top game anymore, so the fight won’t be that exciting.”

Additionally, Garcia agreed that Mayweather is a bigger name, but he isn’t as big of a deal right now. He said, “You may have a bigger name because you have been in the game longer, but in the current situation, we are hot. You’re not, you know what I mean. You’re hot in 2008, 2009, 2010.”
Garcia says he is the new ‘Money’ and not Mayweather
In the same interview, ‘KingRy’ claimed that Mayweather isn’t the billion-dollar fighter that he once used to be. Garcia stated, “You could be on my undercard with Tank because you’re not Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather no more.”
Furthermore, he went on to snatch the moniker from the five-division champion as he said “You’re Floyd Old Money Mayweather, I’m Ryan the new money Garcia but you could just call me King Ryan.” Garcia did not hold back on his laurels as he fired shots at Mayweather.
