Bellator welterweight MMA fighter, Dillon Danis, loves to stay in the spotlight. And it is no secret that Danis loves to have a bit of drama. Meanwhile, he is currently preparing to transition into professional boxing with a January 2023 showdown against YouTuber turned-boxer, KSI, in London. His feud with KSI and Jake Paul aside, there has been another individual he had a very vocal beef with, the sports journalist, Ariel Helwani. In a recent episode of Helwani’s show, the duo tried to set their differences aside and had a rather intriguing argument regarding their beef.

Helwani was hosting the latest episode of his show, ‘The MMA Hour’. Moreover, Danis was present as the guest for the episode.

During the episode, the duo addressed their dispute on social media which had taken place early on in 2022.

Helwani had previously trolled Danis on Twitter. And Danis had responded to the same by calling him out and referring to him as an unoriginal writer. Additionally, he had also referred to Helwani’s wife in one of the tweets, in turn leading to a full-on Twitter beef.

Shedding light on the issue, Danis accused Helwani of being very sensitive. Helwani, on the other hand, did not agree with Danis’ statement.

He responded, by saying, “The MMA judge wrote your material. Then you started doing the same old hits. You were doing the same hits as Brendan Schaub. That’s fire, Dana White crying. What happened to us? I was actually the only guy who had your back. How am I sensitive? If I’m the only one who had your back.”

However, Danis felt that Helwani’s anger was misplaced.

He said, “The one that you got mad about was because I said that you hang out with your wife’s boyfriend or something. Remember that was when you got mad. And was like don’t bring my wife. And I wasn’t even bringing anything into it.”

Helwani did not agree with what Danis had to say about the issue. And also revealed that it was a very inappropriate thing to say.

The beef did not end there

It should be mentioned that the show was not very successful in helping the duo bury the hatchet. Moreover, the interaction also seemingly left a bad taste in Helwani’s mouth.

In fact, right after the episode was aired, Helwani took to social media to announce that he took 3 showers to take the ‘stench’ off. Danis did not hold back from responding and hilariously posted an OJ Simpson-esque response.
