Wilder’s power has always intrigued the fans, leading many to speculate how he would perform in other combat sports like MMA. And, it seems like the Alabama native might have the answer to this question. In an interview with Youtuber Tobin, Wilder revealed how he would perform against the top heavyweights in the UFC. He stated that his power could pose a threat to any fighter, as he could use his hands more effectively in MMA than in boxing.

I can only imagine. I already know what I’m capable of doing but I can only imagine how a face would be deteriorated of me coming full force from a high position threshing downward. It can get pretty scary.” said Wilder.

However, he added that this was only speculation and that he was currently happy as a boxer, although it would be ‘wicked’ for him to compete in the UFC. “But you know I’m in the business of what I’m in and I’m enjoying it. I love what I do and at this point, it’s just only imagination things right now but it’ll be wicked wouldn’t it?” He added.

The former heavyweight champ will look to get into title contention after suffering back-to-back losses from Fury. Wilder went undefeated for the first 43 fights of his career, with a draw against Fury being the lone blemish. He will now look to add another win against Helenius and get his career back on track.
