Legendary boxer, Mike Tyson, has revealed what scared him the most in the recent UFC fight between Derrick Lewis and Curtis Blaydes. The hard-hitting Tyson shared his honest take on the powerful UFC heavyweight and his performance.

‘The Black Beast’ Lewis took on Blaydes in an exciting matchup on February 20 at UFC Fight Night 185. Both heavyweight contenders battled it out for a potential shot at the title. Ultimately, Lewis won with a vicious second-round knockout.

On his Podcast, ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’ with UFC President Dana White as his guest, ‘Iron Mike’ commented on the fight. Lewis knocked out Blaydes with an uppercut as he shot for a takedown. However, after Blaydes was down, ‘The Black Beast’ landed two more vicious blows. These two added punches caught the attention of Tyson.

He said, “But you know what scared me? The second punch he hit him with. You know, it didn’t look like he hit him but, I was like, ‘Oh sh*t!” He then added, “Yea, it was two, but that first, oh god!”

Impressing Mike Tyson will be a big feat for Derrick Lewis

Tyson is one of the hardest punchers the sport has ever seen. He had unquestionable power and could change the fight with a single blow. Therefore, for him to credit ‘The Black Beast’ for his power will mean a lot to Derrick Lewis.

Lewis, who is famous for his power punches, is tied for the most wins by knockout in UFC history. Therefore, his power is no secret to fans of the sport. However, getting validation from ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ will be the cherry on the cake for Lewis after a fantastic win.

The reason the two punches scared Tyson was the fact that ‘Razor’ Blaydes was already out. Unlike boxing, in MMA, you can throw punches while a man is down and ‘The Black Beast’ did just that. However, Lewis had a hilarious explanation for why he landed the two additional punches.
