Fans came in support of the former heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson after he waged war against Hulu, a Disney-owned streaming platform for an upcoming series about his life.

A series based on the life of ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ is set to release on August 25. However, ‘Iron Mike’ isn’t happy about it. The 56-year-old boxing legend isn’t happy about the way his life is portrayed in the series.

Also, ‘Iron Mike’ has accused the platform of not paying him for the project in a series of tweets on his official Twitter account. Tyson’s disagreement with the project has made headlines. And many have come in the support of the boxing great. The WBC president is one of them. 

Mauricio Sulaiman took to his official Twitter account and wrote, A fighter who was like a son to my father is @MikeTyson I just spoke to him I’m so upset to learn that his upcoming series were produced without his involvement and consent The @WBCBoxing was mislead by @hulu and we provided belts for production Mike Tyson Is a legend RESPECT.” 

Sulaiman also posted some old pictures of his father with Tyson in the tweet. ‘Iron Mike’ reposted Sulaiman’s tweet and wrote, “Someone should get fired from Hulu. Producers were lying to my friends, saying I supported the unauthorized series about my life.”

Mike Tyson is inarguably one of the greatest combat sports athletes. Therefore, many up-and-coming fighters look up to him as their idol. ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ also has a good connection with other fighters from the industry.

Thus, prominent names including UFC president Dana White, fan favorite Nate Diaz, and former dual champion Henry Cejudo supported the heavyweight legend in his fight against Hulu.

The Stockton slugger took to his official Twitter account and showed his support by calling out the streaming platform. Meanwhile, ‘The Messenger’ also posted a tweet in Tyson’s support.

On the other hand, ‘Iron Mike’ himself thanked the UFC supremo for rejecting Hulu’s million-dollar offer and respecting their friendship. White reacted to Tyson’s post on Instagram with a folded hand emoji.
