The rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury was probably the most crucial matchup in recent times. The hype generated after the announcement of the event was unrealistic and did not die down until the fight.

It was one of the most-watched events in history and had a large audience both inside and outside the arena. Both fighters were certain of the amount of coverage that this event will garner, and made sure that the world witnessed a spectacular performance.

The entrances of both fighters shook up the entire arena at MGM Stadium Las Vegas. People were screaming at the top of their voices, excited to be witnessing one of the greatest boxing matches ever.

Tyson Fury entered with the unmistakable aura of a king, The Gypsy King. He sat on his throne while being carried ring-ward. He communicated with the crowd and asserted confidence from his actions. In the background ran Patsy Cline‘s Crazy, an unusual choice for an event that usually warrants energetic music. In order to further engage his audience, Fury even sang along with the song.

Meanwhile, Deontay Wilder entered dressed as what seemed like a demonic being. His body was covered with black armor and skulls on both shoulders. He wore a mask on his face that seemed to resemble the outline of a beast, with eyes outlined with a red glow. It seems that the outfit was an attempt at personifying the idea of ‘The Bronze Bomber’. And the attempt did not disappoint.

It was one of the most chilling scenes ever witnessed in boxing history. As always, he entered the ring being led by Jay Rock, the rapper. Wilder also honored the infamous members of the Afro-American community by walking down a set-up hall-of-fame with photos of his idols.

Muhammad Ali’s record for the highest number of consecutive title defenses remains unbroken. Tyson Fury is now the WBC World Heavyweight Champion. The fight lasted for seven rounds but was essentially over in the first two rounds. The one right hook that landed on Wilder’s ear unlocked Fury’s chest of destiny. The damage caused to the ear was surreal and Wilder just couldn’t get himself to fight properly after that.
