However, that did not matter to ‘The Problem Child.’ On September 11, Jake took to X, sharing a screenshot of an image where the referee during a US Open match is using the Betr app. However, when the fans got wind of this situation, they were left in sheer distrust of the situation.

Fans question the credibility of the marketing attempt from Jake Paul

After Jake shared the image on X, the comment section exploded with fans expressing their opinions on the situation. While some people refuse to believe in the legitimacy of the image, some question the ethics. Some fans even went as far as to accuse Paul of paying the referee.

Like this user who could not believe it was a coincidence that the referee had the Betr app open right in front of him. The user believes Jake paid the referee to pose with the app open.
