Muhammad Ali has always been a great inspiration for Mike Tyson from a young age. But have you ever wondered who the inspiration of the Champion was? So Mike Tyson, recently, in an episode of ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’ with The Undertaker, revealed that the greatest inspiration of the whole Muhammad Ali persona was a wrestler.

This episode has been long-awaited by fans, for the crossover of Wrestling and Boxing. The two phenomena of both the sports sitting in the presence of each other. This is what the combat sports fan have always craved, especially after the retirement of the Undertaker. And the podcast was a great platform to share their stories of bravado inside the ring.

Mike Tyson on Muhammad Ali’s inspiration

So, the conversation popped off from Mike Tyson’s admiration for the Valiant Brothers. This shocked Taker as he didn’t expect such names to be taken, and he recognized Tyson as a fan of wrestling. Then Tyson went on to talk about the Ali.

So, at first, he forgot the name of the wrestler but said that when Muhammad Ali saw him for the first he tried to imitate his demeanor. He said, “Listen um what’s that wrestler’s name again, they show he’s such a vain wrestler and Muhammad Ali saw him and that’s why he started doing this. What’s that guy’s name? Gorgeous George.

The Undertaker recalled the fighter, and Mike Tyson continued on how Muhammad Ali started to act more like Gorgeous George. Then at the end, the Undertaker proudly added, “Yeah yeah Ali was a big wrestling fan.

This podcast will definitely quench a lot of fans’ thirst as it definitely showed a totally different side of Mike Tyson that loves and adores wrestling and has been a big fan of it for a long time. He even further went on to a revelation about his extreme love for WWE. And recently, he even returned an old favor to WWE as he snubbed AEW in his latest statement

Mike Tyson’s immense love for WWE

Now, Mike Tyson made his appearance in WWE in 2012, he was the celebrity referee for the match between ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. He then also revealed how he’d always choose WWE over AEW. And it wouldn’t matter if AEW pays him more than WWE, he’d still prefer to go back under the wing of Vince McMahon.

Well, every fan would love to see Mike Tyson in the ring again, well if not for the 10 rounds of blowing punches, then at least in the ring of clenching and smashing. It’d be a great show, and there’s no doubt that when it comes to putting up a great show, WWE is definitely the choice to make, as they’re quite good at it.
