The attacking midfielder was signed by Mainz from Benfica for a loan with the option of making the deal permanent. He was not receiving regular first team action at Benfica and wanted more playing time.

However, following his will, the Serbian international has been further loaned to the Saints and will now be plying his trade in the Premier League.

Djuricic had made 11 league appearances for Mainz, with only six of those as part of the starting line-up. The Saints have promised him regular playing time and this along with his desire to play in EPL, compelled him to make the switch.
