Celebrating the 4th of July, Bubba Wallace shared a picture of himself casually drinking out of his bottle on Instagram. But upon closer inspection, we can see a blurry smudge marching by. Turns out it was none other than Chase Elliott himself.

Wallace noticed a wild Elliot photobombing his picture-perfect moment and hilariously tagged Chase in the captions asking him to get out of his picture. Responding to the post, Chase left a delightful comment on Bubba’s Instagram saying, My most sincere apologies sir“.

Bubba and Elliott have been close friends for a while now. And, looking at this hilarious exchange brightens the mood of every NASCAR fan amid the cutthroat competition.

Back in 2020, Wallace asked Elliott to help him spread awareness about the Black Lives Matter movement in a video with several other NASCAR drivers.

Bubba Wallace has also worked towards pushing NASCAR to officially ban the confederate flag and Chase Elliott was again there to help him bring further change to the sport using his popularity.

Bubba Wallace and Chase Elliott’s Season so far

The 28-year-old has been one of the most popular entities in the sport. But, his season till now has been anything but good. Apart from finishing second during the 2022 opening race at the Daytona 500. Since then, Bubba Wallace has only amassed one top 10 finish in over 17 races. With just a handful of races remaining before the playoffs, it is a race against time for Wallace to secure a win or two. He is currently racing for 23XI Racing.

Unlike Bubba, Chase has been absolutely dominating the 2022 season, with 2 wins, 2 poles, 5 top 5s, and 12 top 10s. Currently sitting at the top of the points at 624. He was also crowned as the champion back in 2020. With his current performance, it would only be a marvel to see him possibly lift the 2022 champions trophy.
