Set 3: Daniil Medvedev creates history

For the first time in the tournament, Djokovic lost the opening two sets of the match. Watching him play today was not the Novak we have seen the entire season.

To make matters worse, the Serb was broken in the first two service games. As time was passing by, Djokovic looked bleak. The match was clearly slipping away from him. After 46 minutes into the set, Medvedev won the set 6-4.

With this win, Daniil Medvedev stopped Djokovic from winning his 21st Grand Slam title. Last year it was Thiem and this year it is the big Russian who has opened his account in the Grand Slam tally. We wish him the very best for the future.
