Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Breaking Down All Four Zombies DLCs

Earlier, Treyarch had carefully dropped Easter Eggs for fans to guess the upcoming Zombies DLC maps for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. The studio released an official trailer for the intro cutscene for the Die Maschine map. Tucked away in the very intro, was something that fans picked up within minutes.

All the die-hard Zombies fans noticed something unique as the trailer displayed Grigori Weaver’s computer screen. According to the fanatics, the computer screen hinted towards three Zombies DLC maps coming to Black Ops Cold War. Additionally, Treyarch had already informed fans that there are going to be four DLC updates. Therefore, Redditors hunted down the fourth possible DLC map as well.

Previously, the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War community has seen enough hints towards some of the DLCs. Out of these, Treyarch has already revealed the first DLC coming to the Zombies. The Firebase Z map, which comes to the game on February 4, is set in Vietnam. The Dong Hoi based map was one of the locations that came up on Grigori Weaver’s computer screen. The Easter Egg in this map will revolve around rescuing Samantha Maxis. However, fans are yet to receive any information on the other three.

Inside of the intro cutscene for the Die Maschine map, players also find that one of the upcoming Zombies DLC maps takes place in a location in the Ural Mountains in Russia. The precise location of the map could be Mt. Yamantau, which houses a Soviet doomsday bunker. The map has also featured in the Black Ops Cold War, as well as Black Ops 1 campaigns.

Another map location that had previously surfaced through reports is Berlin. Revolving around the classic Zombies map Kino Der Toten, the third DLC would take fans to Germany. This hint comes from the map in the Cold War menu that marks a location in Germany pointing towards the radio tower in Berlin. It is the same radio tower visible in the Kino Der Toten map, hence the inference.

Finally, this leaves us with the last DLC map. Previously there was no available information on the map. However, due to the efforts of some Redditors, there is finally some clarity on what can fans expect as the last Zombies DLC. According to reports, the map is code-named “The Giant (Der Riese) Remake”. As of now, this is the only available information and nothing else is certain.
