Call of Duty: Black Ops- Cold War Season 1 Announces a Boatload of Fresh Content

Call of Duty: Black Ops- Cold War Season 1 is just around the corner. The game is already undergoing a ton of changes and with the advent of this new season, there will be much more to explore. Additionally, this is going to be the biggest free upgrade in the COD franchise, which makes things even more exciting. Now, developer Treyarch has announced a content roadmap for Season 1, which highlights the upcoming updates.

Black Ops- Cold War Season 1 announces content roadmap

Both Black Ops- Cold War and Warzone are getting a major content overhaul. For starters, the BOCW multiplayer mode is getting 8 maps to the playlist. Take a look at all of them, below:

  • The Pines (6v6)
  • Raid (6v6)
  • Nuketown ’84 Holiday (6v6)
  • Game Show (2v2) • ICBM (2v2)
  • U-Bahn (2v2)
  • KGB (2v2)
  • Sanatorium (Fireteam)

In addition to this, two new game modes, namely, ‘Prop hunt’ and ‘Dropkick’, will also be available. Furthermore, the H.A.R.P scorestreak will also be activated along with a new vehicle in the form of a tactical raft.

The list isn’t over just yet. As mentioned before, Call of Duty: Warzone is also getting certain updates and additions. The biggest one of them is the new Warzone map ‘Rebirth Island’. The arrival of this map was already leaked prior to its official announcement. Besides the new map, the ‘Gulag’ is also getting an upgrade, which will involve a different setting altogether. Furthermore, there are 3 new weapons coming to the new season. Take a look at them below:

  • Gorza – Assault Rifle
  • MAC-10 – SMG
  • Streetsweeper- Shotgun

Apart from this, the Zombies mode is also getting two new game modes called ‘Cranked’ and ‘Jingle Hells’. Lastly, there are also new Operator skins lined up for the season. There will be even more skins available with the Season 1 battle pass.

This is just a glimpse of what is planned for the game as of now. There will be even more content coming midway through the season as the developers usually launch a ‘Reloaded; version of the season by then. Hopefully, the transition of BOCW into Warzone will be smooth and there will be minimal fixes for Treyarch to implement.
