This is it. The moment the fans have been waiting for is finally here as the Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War trailer is finally out. Before diving into the details, check the trailer out below.

We just have one word for this: Exhilarating! It looks absolutely phenomenal. The high octane car chases, rooftop gunfights, a possible glimpse into the Vietnam War, and a whole lot more. This is how you make trailers and boy did the developers go all out.

It all started in Verdansk when a playlist update had only one game mode available called ‘Know your history’. Once in Verdansk, there were 4 objectives to complete. The first three were quite simple and were completed quickly. The 4 one required you to find a weapon blueprint somewhere on the map. But little did we know that a huge surprise was waiting for us there. It was Sgt. Frank Woods himself wielding the weapon and he handed us the sniper rifle.

Then as soon as the timer ran out, the scene changed and suddenly, you had to run towards the stadium. The screen went static as you reach near the Stadium and the trailer started. As far as reveals go, this was probably one of the most interesting, elaborate, and fun reveals ever.

Now let’s talk about the trailer. It has everything in it. High-speed car chases, a fight on the tarmac, battles in the jungles (probably Vietnam), and a whole lot more. If you listen closely, the background score will sound familiar. The same track is used in the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer i.e. Blue Monday. The editing of both the trailers is absolutely spot on.

Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War storyline

The trailer reveals that ‘Perseus’, an undercover Soviet agent is activated. His/her work could possibly change the course of the Cold War and he/she needs to be stopped. It seems the game is more like a large-scale manhunt and it looks promising. Sgt. Woods makes a comeback to the Black Ops franchise and things are about to get serious. There was some fairly advanced tech shown in the trailer which may not exactly go with the 1968 & 1981 timeline.

The game’s footage is captured on the PlayStation 5. This could mean that it is a launch title for the console. We also caught a glimpse of the multiplayer mode. It looked extremely similar to the Battlefield 1 multiplayer and we’ll discuss more about that later. Pre-order now and you can get access to the beta.
