Call of Duty Mobile Season 12: Going Dark has introduced a series of nerfs and buffs. After a long time, many weapons got balance changes and new attachments. The introduction of the Gunsmith allows CODM to introduce new attachments that change the gun’s performance at the will of the player.

Players might remember the 10 mm ammunition attachment for QQ9. It was considered broken as the gun behaved like an assault rifle with highly increased damage and range. The balance changes nerf and buff the particular characteristics of such weapons, especially if it is game-breaking.

This season’s changes will make long-time CODM fans nostalgic. This is because this season marks the return of a fan-favorite AR from Season 1 to 3. Read on to find out which weapon we are talking about.

Nerfs and buffs this season in Call of Duty Mobile

Nerfs

The devs have attacked the shotgun category mercilessly. They’ve reduced the damage range of both the Echo and the BY15. They now stand at 36 and 40, respectively. In addition, the KRM 262’s bullet density and damage range was reduced to 39.

All these nerfs being in the shotgun category should not affect the game too much. Only ranked players can expect fewer people getting one-shot kills from 50 meters.

Other than weapons, concussion grenades have become less effective. And more charge points are required for Shadow Blade and Transform Shield.

Buffs

Extended OTM attachment for DRH and increased Cordite ADS bullet spread accuracy. Increased Fennec bullet trajectory stability while continuous firing; lowered horizontal recoil; slightly increased upper recoil limit.

Increased Razorback recoil stability; lowered horizontal recoil; increased medium-range damage attenuation distance. Explosives deal much more damage to the Transform shield, and only one EMP is required to destroy a Transform Shield.

Increased AK117 damage multiplier when hitting body parts above the waist; medium-range combat ability increased. Optimized BK57 bullet trajectory and increased stability. Both of these weapons were favorites once, and now they make a return in CODM. The Ak117 especially is a very viable gun with fast mobility and reload. Moreover, its fire rate is one of the highest among ARs.

In Battle Royale, the Ak117 is one of the most reliable guns. With increased damage multiplier, it drastically reduces the time to kill.
