Call of Duty Mobile: Understanding Battle Royale Mods/Perks

Call of Duty Mobile introduced various perks or mods in Battle Royale. This came with the Season 9 update, which has changed the game altogether. CODM Battle Royale takes place on an island known as ‘Isolated’. The Season 9 update has introduced elements to the game that has made it more like Modern Warfare’s Warzone. Amongst these elements are the mods or perks. These are extensions that players can equip their guns with for different, enhanced abilities. They are available throughout the map amidst other loot.

Mods are of various kinds. Dense Fire, Dead Silence, Long Shot, and Extend Mod are the common ones. Each has its own enhanced ability. For example, Dense Fire will reduce the bullet spread of any weapon. Therefore, hip-firing accuracy with this mod equipped will be much more effective. Dense Fire on any shotgun will also give far more explosive damage than normal.

The Dead Silence mod on Battle Royale is different from the Dead Silence in multiplayer. In Battle Royale, enemies won’t be able to locate a player’s direction if the player fires a weapon with Dead Silence equipped.

Long Shot simply increases the range of any weapon it is added to. Extend Mod is perhaps the go-to perk for any player. It increases the magazine capacity while decreasing the reload time of the weapon.

The gun mods also have rarities, and their performance depends upon that. The rarities are:

• Common (white)
• Uncommon (green)
• Rare (blue)
• Epic (purple)
• Legendary (golden)

The legendary Dense Mod will provide more magazine capacity than an epic variant, and so on.

From amongst the other useful mods, the Stabilizer Mod and Slider Mod are both extremely handy. The Stabilizer Mod gives players an advanced recoil control, resulting in better accuracy. The Slider Mod, on the other hand, will insert a bullet each time a player slides.

The Runner Mod is another convenient perk. It provides the player with a burst of speed after aiming down sight. Therefore, it is very helpful in running away from engagements against full squads when a player is outnumbered.
