Infinity Ward recently released a new community update for an upcoming Call Of Duty Modern Warfare patch on all platforms PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The patch notes are also expected to be released shortly before the Modern Warfare update rolls out next week. It seems a lot of exciting content is on its way with the update for MW players.

Famous COD leaker, TheGamingRevolution, uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he discusses the upcoming update and what Modern Warfare players can expect from it.

What Additions Will The New Patch Bring?

According to TheGamingRevolution, a brand new LMG could be coming to Call Of Duty Modern Warfare. In his latest video, he revealed some leaked gameplay with the new LMG. The LMG’s codename is LM_MKIL03 and appears similar to the M249 SAW. However, there is no information if the new LMG will be added to the game with the forthcoming update in a few days.

A new camo called Obsidian will also be coming to Modern Warfare. For now, how players will be able to unlock the new camo is unknown. Although, it seems players will require to have gold unlocked for the specific weapon to go ahead then and unlock the Obsidian camo.

Some playlist updates are also en route with the new patch. Firstly, the Shoot the Ship 24/7 playlist, which will also include both Cranked and Grind modes. Secondly, the Frankenstein blueprint merging system will be coming to the game. Players will be able to combine different blueprint weapon attachments for a specific weapon from different blueprint weapon variants. Lastly, more Gunfight variations will be added for players to check out.

Moreover, the new Call Of Duty Modern Warfare update will also require players to download any additional data pack. PS4 and Xbox One Modern Warfare players will need to download a chunky 15GB update. The data pack is necessary to access the game. After downloading the new patch, players will be indicated to download Data Pack 1 in-game. Once completed, players will need to reopen the game application.

Apart from the new content, various bug fixes were also mentioned by Infinity Ward in their preview for the patch.

When Does The Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Patch Arrive?

The new Modern Warfare update is set to go live next week on Tuesday, April 28, for all platforms, namely PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Full patch notes will also be released for the new update.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3 is already incoming.
