Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone made some huge adjustments to shake things up. The update introduced a lot of fresh additions such as a map change for Verdansk, and new skins among others. But the game didn’t receive a massive weapons tuning, or a new gun for fans to be excited about. But it looks like things are about to change.
Recently, the game introduced a new patch that increased the time to kill (TTK) of a lot of popular weapons. Other than that, Activision also released a new gun called the CARV.2 Tactical Rifle, and it seems to shred hard.

The new CARV.2 Tactical Rifle in Call of Duty Warzone
The new weapon in Call of Duty Warzone is a three-round burst rifle, and it does serious damage. The gun can be compared to the overpowered weapons from previous seasons, like the AUG and AMAX. With the Season 3 update, Activision nerfed these weapons, and it looked like the game was moving away from the burst rifle meta.
But with the introduction of the CARV.2, it looks like the meta might shift again. It has some recoil, but it’s almost perfect for mid-range, just like the AUG and the M16 was back in the day. While other weapons are receiving buffs with their TTK, the new gun seems to have a significant lead over its competitors in that category. It’s powerful, agile, and seems to check all the boxes for a meta-shifting weapon.

Best loadouts for CARV.2
For the loadout, players can use attachments that help the gun excel in almost all ranges. With the muzzle, they can use the Agency Silencer for the noise suppression and the recoil control. For the barrel, Task Force is the most optimum choice for the increase in damage range, bullet velocity, and strafe speed. The only disadvantage for the Task Force is that it slightly increases the recoil. Players who don’t want increased recoil and strafe speed can use the Strike Team barrel.
They can also use the Field Agent Foregrip to help with the recoil. The 45 Rnd Speed Mag is also the ideal choice for the Ammunition, for the increased reload speed, and other than that the larger mags decrease mobility, which isn’t good. Fans can pair CARV.2 with the XM4, FFAR, MAC 10, MP5 or a Bullfrog to help with the short-range battles.

Even though it’s a new weapon, the CARV.2 easily belongs in the best guns on Warzone list. It deals serious damage for a burst rifle, and fans shouldn’t be surprised if it receives a nerf soon.
