Call of Duty WZ gets a significant map expansion with Season 5

Kicking this off with the Verdansk Stadium. The Stadium is now open to exploration and this expansion will open up plenty of new possibilities. The pitch and the gallery are of course playable areas, in addition to the underground parking structure, the concession stand lobby, and other portions of the interior of the structure.

Next up, we have one of the most significant expansions. The Verdansk Train Station is entirely open for exploration now, and players can access these areas through the main ticket hall and the platforms.

Now, this one is probably one of the most interesting ones on the list. There is a freight train on the map which is on the move, following one of the main railway tracks that surround the southwestern part of Verdansk. Now, this freight train can open up new possibilities for you and your teammates. Taking over this train and protecting it will give you a territorial and commuting asset, not to mention that it might give you an edge at both survival and confrontation alike. After all, having a moving metal giant can’t hurt, right?

In addition to this, now there are external ascenders on the exterior of tall buildings on the map. This will change the gameplay and make it more fast-paced. Moreover, snipers nesting on rooftops will now have to be more vigilant, or someone might sneak up from behind them.

All the added locations and features in the map will now significantly change the gameplay meta. Strategies will now be different, and Warzone will be even more tactical.

First off, we have the Mini Royale. As the name explains, this mode contains a fast-paced miniaturized version of the Battle Royale experience. There are fewer players on the map, but the time limit is less as well. According to the Activision.com blog post“Only the first and last five minutes of a normal BR game exist” in this mode. The going will not only get tough but also intense with mini royale and both victory and death will be swift.

Apart from this, there is now an improved weapon rotation in the game ensuring variety in the weapons that spawn around the map. 8 Common, 13 Uncommon, 15 Rare, 19 Epic, and 25 Legendary weapons- this is what the weapon distribution all over the map will look like.

Last but not least, Warzone players who do not have the Call of Duty MW game can now experience the multiplayer gameplay from the 7th (10 AM) to the 12th of August (10 AM). The playlist will be random, allowing players to get a taste of both deathmatch and tactical gameplay. Furthermore, the maps to feature in this will include Suldal Harbor and Petrov Oil Rig, both of which are new this season.
