Greek star, Stefanos Tsitsipas, has not been playing his best tennis ever since the season resumed. He lost at the Cincinnati Open, the US Open, and the Italian Open. Now, at the French Open, he has had a very shaky start as he had to come back from 2 sets down in his first match. However, his coach Patrick Mouratoglou believes that this match was important.
“This match was extremely important because to be able to come back from 2 sets to love and end up winning the match. First of all, it is something for every player, is extremely important in a career…Mentally, this thing was extremely important for what’s coming next,” Mouratoglou said.
“That’s also one of the reasons why he felt well in the next round and won a very, very good match. Very solid, felt really calm during the match, felt really loose, played great tennis…When he is in those conditions, loose, relaxed and he has enough confidence cause he has won matches, he’s extremely dangerous and he can beat anyone.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas looking to score
So far, the biggest title that Stefanos Tsitsipas has won is last year’s ATP Finals. The French Open is his last chance this year to win an even bigger title and the Greek star will be looking to utilize this opportunity.
It will definitely be tough for him as he has World No.1 Novak Djokovic on his side of the draw. In addition to that, he could face 12-time winner Rafael Nadal in the final. However, the Greek star has beaten them before and can do it again on his way to winning the Parisian Grand Slam.
