5 years ago, on November 29, 2015, Andy Murray helped Great Britain win their 10 Davis Cup title. It ended the nation’s 79-year long drought at the annual tournament.
What makes the story even more glorious is a cancer patient who recovered while watching the Brit play.
It all came down to Murray of Britain and David Goffin of Belgium to conclude the event in Ghent, Belgium. Winning in three straight sets, the 2 time Olympic Gold medallist triumphed 6-3, 7-5, and 6-3. For that one moment, the entire United Kingdom hailed their champion.
