WNBA legend Candace Parker sat on the front lines as she watched another GOAT candidate replace her on the league’s all-time scoring list, and had a funny live reaction. The Los Angeles Sparks great was present in the arena when New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart shot her 13th shot of the game against the Las Vegas Aces, crossing Parker for the 10th spot on the all-time scoring list. Parker, however, had a humorous, live response to Stewart as she scored, per the X post by Sports on Prime.

“She made sure I was courtside for it.”

Parker, a three-time WNBA champion and seven-time All-Star, took it like a champ, joking that Stewart made a calculated decision to break her record with her present. She also spoke about how difficult making the basket was for Stewie on the video posted by Sports on Prime. 

“And she doing it on a nasty and-1 right there. Got fouled twice. Stewie already breaking my records.

Parker was commentating on the game between the Aces and the Liberty at Michelob ULTRA Arena on July 30 when Breanna Stewart broke her record. Nine minutes into the third quarter, with the score at 46-56 to the Aces, Stewart received a pass from Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu inside the paint. The three-time WNBA champion wasted no time and shot, as two Aces guards attempted to block her.

Despite their attempts, Stewie made the basket, raising her career scoring total to 6,575 and claiming the number 10 spot on the all-time scorers list. Parker held tenth place with 6,574 career points.

But Parker remains on another list. She is still third on the all-time career rebounds list with 3,467 rebounds. She follows only Tina Charles with 4,262 rebounds and Sylvia Fowles, with 4,006 rebounds, according to a WNBA report from March 5, 2026. 

Breanna Stewart, on the other hand, has just entered the all-time lists, with this being her first top-ten entry. In the game against the Aces, Stewart and her team lost 104-99, but that didn’t stop the eight-time WNBA All-Star from making her mark. Along with breaking into the top ten all-time scorers, she led the Liberty in points as well as rebounds. She finished the game with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and recorded three steals and one assist. 

Breanna Stewart has been the driving force for the New York Liberty this season, leading them to a 16-12 record, third in the Eastern Conference. She has been the most prolific scorer for New York, leading the team with 21.4 points averaged per game. She also leads the team in steals and blocks, averaging 1.3 and 1.5 per game, respectively. 

Now, she also finds herself on the list of the all-time greats, with Diana Taurasi leading the charge with 10,646 career points, followed by Tina Charles and DeWanna Bonner. Breanna Stewart will look to continue her explosive scoring to lead the Liberty to the 2026 WNBA Playoffs.
