“Cannot Give Fixed Schedule” – Mutua Madrid Open Announces Its Decision

The coronavirus pandemic has affected the tennis season badly. It has canceled 5 Masters and Premier Mandatory tournaments and postponed a grand slam. To ease the mind of tennis fans, The president and CEO of the Mutua Madrid Open, Gerard Tsobanian has spoken out.
What Did Gerard Tsobanian Say?

In an interview with L’Équipe, Gerard Tsobanian said that he believes the Mutua Madrid Open can be held in September. The tournament will take place right after the US Open and right before the French Open. He said that he cannot give a fixed schedule of the tournament for an ‘already damaged season’.
On the topic of whether players would accept playing on both hard courts and clay courts in such a short time, he said,
