Ja Morant had been suspended for 25 games after flaunting a gun on an Instagram live video in May. This was the second instance of him getting in trouble for the possession of firearms, the first incident occurring just a few months prior in March. As a result, Morant has not yet made his season debut. Despite this, he was allowed to travel with the team and practice with them.
During his long time out, Ja had to go through counseling and the league had been closely monitoring his progress. Well, it looks like everything is in place and he is ready for a comeback. He will most definitely suit up for the Grizzlies‘ game at New Orleans on the 19th. Interestingly, Morant has some things to get off his chest before his return.

The Grizzlies have been in a deep slump lately, suffering three back-to-back losses, similar to how they started their season with six straight losses. They have won only six games out of the 23 they have played so far. During the press conference, Ja also said, “It’s definitely, you know, some guilt in that. Obviously, I’m not on the floor and obviously, nobody likes losing. So you know, our job is to go out there and get a win. I take full responsibility of that obviously, even though I’m not on the floor you know.”
