Retired Spanish tennis star Carla Suarez Navarro shared a video of her having a hit at a practice court. Navarro bid adieu to the game earlier this year. However, even before the tennis world could process the news of her retirement, she came out with the grim news earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

She had posted a video on Twitter to share the grim news, saying she would have to go through six months of chemotherapy.

The latest video of her hitting a tennis ball has given the tennis world hope that her treatment is going well and she could well be on the road to recovery.

In the latest video that she posted on Twitter, Navarro is seen knocking tennis balls with former Italian tennis player Sara Errani.

Her video drew reactions from some of her former rivals in the professional circuit.
“Welcome Back!”: Kim Clijsters delighted with Navarro’s tennis video
Belgian tennis star Kim Clijsters, who came out of retirement this year and played the US Open, was delighted to see Navarro doing what she does best.
“So good to see you hitting!” Clijsters commented on the Spaniard’s tweet.
Spanish woman footballer Olga Garcia Perez also left a comment. “Welcome Back!”, Perez said.

Navarro reached a career-high ranking of Number 6, on February 29, 2016. She also won two singles and doubles titles on the WTA Tour.
Navarro revealed she had been diagnosed with Stage 1 of Hodgkin Lymphoma, sending her fans into gloom.

One of the most accomplished women tennis players to have come out of Spain, Navarro finished with a career win-loss record of 515-341.
She achieved a career-high doubles ranking of 11 on April 27, 2015.

After revealing her cancer diagnosis, Navarro said she was prepared to face what would be a difficult course of treatment.
Navarro, who had been in the Top-10 of women’s rankings several times, broke the news after pulling out of the US Open this year.
