Anthony Joshua is currently riding the waves of redemption following a much-needed victory against Jermaine Franklin. This came after his consecutive losses against Oleksandr Usyk. Though he won the bout, a lot of boxing enthusiasts still doubt his abilities. The main reason for their discontent was Joshua’s failure to secure an early knockout against Franklin, resulting in a full-distance bout marked by a lack of intense combat engagement. Known for his aggressive nature inside the ring, Joshua’s subdued display raised concerns among fans.
His bout against Dillian Whyte will be an important match-up where AJ will need to prove his mettle. This is because a lot of fans and experts alike don’t believe the former champion is a match for Deontay Wilder. Thus, the anticipation for the bout is at an all-time high. With the fight just around the corner, Matchroom Boxing dropped a teaser for the bout.

In fact, the intensity was so palpable that Whyte even launched an attack on Joshua after the bell. Such thrilling moments guarantee that fans eagerly anticipate the forthcoming second Saturday of the next month. Adding to the stakes, the rematch clause has been intentionally omitted from the contract, heightening the significance of their impending showdown.
During a recent interview on The DAZN Boxing Show, Whyte emphasized his desire to avoid contractual restrictions, stating, “I want to progress. If it’s a good fight, we can have a rematch. We don’t need a rematch clause because, regardless, if it’s a good fight, we’ll rematch anyway.” With the teaser now released, fans are undoubtedly filled with anticipation, as both Joshua and Whyte aim to prove their mettle in the ring.
