Jake Paul‘s journey from a YouTube sensation to a professional boxer is truly impressive. It all started with his online presence where he gained attention through his vlogs and various other types of content. Though his career as a content creator was filled with criticism from his peers, it was his transition to the sport of boxing that gave his life a whole new direction.
Paul’s career as a boxer is also one that is under constant criticism. A lot of boxing enthusiasts often discredit his status as a boxer because of the opponents he has faced so far. One constant criticism he receives is that he only fights old retired MMA fighters and YouTubers. Thus to fight against those claims Paul has even fought British professional boxer Tommy Fury. The two may even have their rematch once again. But how did Hasim Rahman Junior get dragged into the rivalry between the two fighters?

Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr.’s sparring video resurfaces
However, the fight proved to be rather difficult to make as prior to their January bout, Fury had failed to show up two times for the fight. This caused a lot of fans to question if he was ducking the YouTuber. Notably, when Fury bailed out of the fight last year due to visa issues, another professional boxer, Hasim Rahman Jr. was set to face Paul in his stead. However, just seven days before the fight, news came out that Rahman had withdrawn from the fight due to weight issues.
It was at the time, that Paul had shared the clip of him and Rahman sparring, in order to one-up the professional boxer. However, even back then it backfired as many claimed that the boxer was taking it easy on Paul. Moreover, the video from the session that took place back in 2020 has resurfaced on social media once again. Happy Punch shared the video on Twitter with the caption, “Jake Paul was cold for this”. So what do fans think now? Is there any change in their thinking?
