Terence Crawford has the boxing town buzzing. No, he has not announced his next fight. Instead, the American boxer is enjoying his life beyond the square circle. Far removed from the boxing gloves, he has picked up roller skates, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. joined him in what appeared to be an amusing roller skating session.

‘Bud’, after dropping Errol Spence Jr. last year, is currently contemplating whether he should jump multiple weight classes to meet Canelo Alvarez in a legacy fight. The rumors are running hot. However, before he takes the last call, he cherishes those off-the-ring moments with his unexpected friend.

Terence Crawford meets Floyd Mayweather on the skating floor

Crawford, at 40-0, turned to his Instagram handle and dropped the picture of him and ‘Money’ at a skating court in Las Vegas. He wrote in the caption, “Two goats just out having a great time roller skating. @floydmayweather.”

Crawford and Mayweather share a deep admiration for each other, as the two have publicly acknowledged each other’s boxing prowess. While Mayweather has heaped praise on Crawford, the latter has always pushed his name in the GOAT debate. These exchanges have always fueled their friendship off the ring, as have the rumors of their mentor-mentee relationship.

While the fans would be eager to listen to what the two would have talked about, they could only speculate about it. It could have included a chat about which route the unified welterweight champion would take next. The rumor mill is churning out the speculation of Crawford meeting Alvarez next.

The rumors of ‘Bud’ fighting Canelo Álvarez

Terence Crawford is ready to skip three weight divisions and close a 20-pound gap as he chases Alvarez for a legacy fight. At 36 and having amassed championships in three weight categories, he wants to close his career with an illustrious name, and Alvarez fits the bill.
