It’s been over two weeks since Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford fought for the Welterweight title. From across the corners, it is hailed as a modern classic. Not least, a commercial success, where the gate revenue seemingly stood at over $21 million. For Spence Jr., while expressing keenness on a rematch, it’s a return journey, possibly at a higher division, once he gets his bearings. But the Long Island, New York-born Southpaw needs to deal with the pitfalls and a few accusations lined up en route. Take, for instance, a famed comedian who seems to have a significant grudge against ‘The Truth.’

Charleston White believes there’s more than meets the eye regarding Spence Jr.’s standing vis-à-vis Crawford. Known for his controversial comments, White has garnered a massive social media following over the years. The founder and CEO of HYPE (Helping Young People Excel) never hesitates to take a straight-from-the-shoulder approach. The world soon got a taste of White’s absence of reserve as they came across an interview he gave to the podcast ‘Say Cheese.’

Errol Spence Jr. didn’t think highly enough of Terence Crawford – Charleston White

@AccordToBoxing shared a clip of the conversation through its X account yesterday. Their message read, “He Has A Point !! Charleston White tells “Say Cheese” why he doesn’t tip his hat to Errol Spence…Everything Charleston said can be substantiated with proof….” So the interviewer told him that he would take off his hat in deference to Errol Spence Jr. for withstanding a gruesome punishment in a match that would have otherwise ended by the third or fourth round.

However, Charleston White refused to accord any such respect to Spence Jr. In his opinion, the bout ended the way it should have ended. When sharing his justifications for showing regard to Spence Jr., he said, “

… ’cause he never gave Crawford credit, n***a. He kept disrespecting him as a man. Even when they say, Okay, Crawford, on a rate, where do you confer Errol Spence? Man, that n***a Crawford gave him like an eight or nine. Earl gave him a three.

When asked where the incident occurred, the social media influencer and comedian responded, “C’mon, my n***a, [go] watch it! Errol never… they talked to Crawford in his camp like they [was] nothing. Like they will go doom to Crawford, what Crawford [done] to Earl. I’am not taking my hat [off] to that n***a. That n***a took a beating…..took a [beating].

What the world saw…

That’s one unhappy man. Otherwise, it’s common knowledge that Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. were incredibly instrumental in bringing about a fight that collapsed during an earlier attempt. Their exchanges at the press conferences, weigh-in, and final meet-up at the T Mobile arena were respectful, barring the usual banter. Both boxers knew where they stood in the boxing cosmos.
