After Shakur Stevenson won the WBC Lightweight title in only his second fight at 135 lbs, Ryan Garcia, in a public statement, declared that he was disappointed with Shakur’s last fight. And to put the icing on the cake, he even branded Stevenson arrogant over an incident he claimed took place in Vegas. In this context, criticizing Shakur’s performance against his last opponent Edwin Santos, Garcia claimed that Stevenson often “pi**ed” him off.

As soon as Garcia’s statements came to Shakur’s notice, the current WBC Lightweight champion insulted ‘KingRy’ by calling the same a clown. In addition, by taking to X, the 26-year-old revealed what exactly happened in Vegas with ‘KingRy.’

In the Fight Hub TV interview, Garcia claimed Shakur has been acting arrogant ever since they were amateur boxers. To support his statement, Garcia recounted the time he and Keyshawn Davis were having a conversation and invited Shakur to join them who was present nearby. However, what Shakur did angered ‘KingRy’.

He doe talk like really arrogant s**t. We’re in Vegas, I’m talking to this friend Keyshawn. We’re having a great time. Great conversation. I simply said, ‘Ay yo, Shakur come over.’ He looks at me and goes, ‘Nah, you got to come over here’,” reported Ryan

However, Shakur objected to Ryan’s narrative. He claimed that he was present at the spot before even Garcia and Keyshawn arrived. Likewise, explaining his situation, he wrote, “Ni**a I wasn’t being arrogant I don’t fw you clown ass ni**as what I’m coming over to u I been sitting there before.”

In this context, Shakur even referred to Gervonta Davis making Garcia quit with a body shot in their April fight. At this, while the two exchanged words, promoter Oscar De La Hoya tried to fish in troubled water.
