In the latest episode of ‘Froch on Fighting,’ Carl Froch called out Eddie Hearn. While speaking with the media a few days ago, the Matchroom honcho labeled the former super middleweight champion a hater. Thus, ‘The Cobra’ decided to speak his mind and shed some light on the matter.
The former unified super middleweight champion has become one of the foremost boxing analysts and commentators in Great Britain. But many followers believe he has gained more fame for baiting some of the biggest names in British boxing, such as Amir Khan, Anthony Joshua, and Tyson Fury. Not long ago, Carl Froch gave his two cents on an incident involving American heavyweight Jarrell Miller and Eddie Hearn.

Carl Froch and Eddie Hearn go back and forth
The grapevine has it that Miller and Hearn confronted each other at a press conference. So when the American boxer allegedly threatened him, the latter reportedly told him, “Go f*ck yourself.” In last week’s episode of ‘Froch on Fighting,’ Carl Froch shared his thoughts on the row. He also drew a comparison between the fictional mockumentary character David Brent and the Matchroom boss.
He said, “I hope Eddie Hearn did say to Gerald Miller, go f*ck yourself when he threatened him… I can’t see Eddie Hearn saying that, like I said, if he did fair play to you he might have gained some bollocks now he’s pumped his arms up…he’s doing a bit of training, he’s doing some tensing up on Instagram, getting his biceps out, so it’s like he’s getting ready for Mr. Olympia…Eddie’s have setting himself up here for a big pi** take by going all Brent Master General.”
In turn, Eddie Hearn, while speaking to ‘Pro Boxing Fans,’ said, “Carl Froch is an interesting one; he’s become a massive hater, hasn’t he? I mean, he’s one of the biggest legends of British boxing, and he’s just become a hater. I’ll have to have a little chat with him….”
So in the latest edition of his podcast, Carl Froch took up Hearn’s statement. He clarified that not even once has he ever hated anyone in his life. He is neither a troll nor someone who prefers hiding behind the keyboard and attacking. What he wants to say, he does so in front of the camera. He said, “I’m in front of the camera. You can see me. I’m smiling when I speak. When I take the pi** out of you, Eddie, I give you a bit of banter. It’s a joke… lighthearted…bit of fun.”
Taking up the Jarrell Miller incident, Carl Froch once again insisted that he doesn’t dislike anyone. All he wants to do is explore the truth. Hence, whatever he said about Hearn was part of that truth-seeking. In case the Matchroom boss still wants to contest whatever he says, then he’s most welcome to come to his studio or even have a chat over the phone. Carl Froch finally reiterated that he doesn’t hold any animosity towards anyone.
The former super middleweight champion, however, seemed mighty impressed by Devin Haney‘s performance against Regis Prograis.

All praise for Devin Haney
The Cobra rated the new WBC light welterweight champion as one of the best boxers in the world. Calling ‘The Dream’ possibly the next Floyd Mayweather Jr., Froch said, “The world is his oyster. The win against Prograis I mean, the counter punch, the sharpness, the just that fast twitch—it’s just a nightmare……I just think Devon Haney is literally one of the best fighters definitely pound-for-pound top of the world.”
