Tragedy has hit Jermell Charlo yet again. Last Saturday in Texas, Jermell Charlo, the 33-year-old boxing champion, found himself on the wrong side of the law. He was charged with misdemeanor assault for causing bodily harm to one of his family members. Due to this, Charlo faced legal repercussions that led to his arrest.

Details from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office shed light on the incident. However, court records revealed that by Monday Charlo was released after posting bond. Not only this, Charlo still has more consequences to face as his wife Chayne Westwood has also decided to leave the boxer, putting him in a very difficult situation.

Jermell Charlo’s wife has had enough of him!

According to recent reports, a day after Charlo’s release from jail, his wife filed for divorce and a temporary restraining order. After such an incident, even the PBC promotional banner decided to take the path of silence on this one. They did not have anything to say about the current situation the boxer faces.

Moreover, there are no scheduled fights for the boxer right now, and therefore the PBC will supposedly not be commenting this time. Not a long time ago, he fought his last fight after taking a one-year break and lost against Canelo Alvarez. After the fight, Charlo is now making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

However, this is not the first time Charlo has exhibited violent behavior. A few years ago back in 2018, he was arrested in a domestic violence case.
