Isaac Cruz shifted his focus away from the elusive prospect of securing a rematch with Gervonta Davis. He is now eyeing a potential bout against Ryan Garcia scheduled for April. Despite his unsuccessful attempts at arranging a rematch with Davis, Cruz remains determined to carve his path in the boxing world.

So, a clash with Garcia in April could offer him a new opportunity to make big numbers and get close to getting the rematch against Davis. Moreover, Ryan Garcia has called him out recently, after his back-and-forth with Rolly Romero. For some time now, Garcia has been trying to open up a lot of options for himself, and this time, Cruz has responded to his fight offer.

“Stop talking and fight”: Isaac Cruz has Ryan Garcia on his crosshairs

Despite the persistent efforts of the 25-year-old contender, Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz couldn’t secure a rematch against Gervonta Davis. All of his appeals have seemingly fallen on deaf ears. Cruz has actively applied pressure for a second bout, and he emphasized the advantages of a full training camp for both fighters to adequately prepare for each other. It’s noteworthy that both Cruz and Davis are part of the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) umbrella, but the fight couldn’t come to fruition.

However, a new opportunity has opened up, where Ryan Garcia has challenged him to a fight. He said, “Pitbull’s gone around fighting not a lot of people. I think he’s been dodging everyone who’s called him out.”

Garcia added later, “We need to run it you know, he’s been talking st, I’ve been talking st. I feel a little confident in my time, feel a little confident in my skills, I’ll destroy him. And it’s only gonna make the ‘Tank’ fight bigger if he wins or I win.

So, Cruz posted a video on his Instagram, where he’s looking at the whole video, and accepts the challenge at the end. He even wrote in the caption, “Little Ryan your dream will come true if you stop talking and fight [Isaac Cruz].” Well, this was a surprise on Garcia’s end, as he’s already called out Devin Haney and Rolly Romero recently.

Garcia has been shooting his shot all around

In a series of strategic shifts, Ryan Garcia had once again turned his attention to Rolando Romero after initially considering a bout with Devin Haney. This decision marks another twist in Garcia’s 2024 narrative, as he had previously named Romero as his preferred opponent. However, he shifted his focus to Haney following fan input.

Now, Garcia revisited the idea of facing Romero, who has yet to defend the WBA 140 lb title he controversially secured against Ismael Barroso eight months ago. Haney responded sternly to Garcia’s decision, stating, “Don’t ever mention my name, p***y boi.” In the social media exchange, Garcia fired back, predicting that Haney would eventually return to their potential matchup. He even ridiculed the supposedly  “30,000 PPV buys” for Haney’s December fight against Regis Prograis.
