Caleb Plant is a name that is a staple to discourses of boxing. His prowess in the boxing realm is a reflection of the precision jabs he takes at his opponents. As his nuanced boxing acumen is often the talk of the town, his family hosts another such legend that lives on to tell her story through sports.

Plant married his wife, Jordan Plant almost four years ago. After a solid three years of being engaged, the two tied the knot. This unison heralded a new generation in the Plant family. Both of them, big names in the boxing realm have often participated in discourses around the sport. Jordan in fact is a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) correspondent and a boxing host. Well, that’s also how the couple met. As the years progressed, Mrs. Plant ventured into another form of athleticism.

Jordan Plant takes leaps in Power Lifting

It’s been an interesting year for Jordan Plant. After having given birth to her daughter, Charly, the boxing correspondent and now a powerlifter sent ripples through the latter realm. Taking to her X (Twitter) profile, the powerlifter posted a series of pictures that featured her lifting some heavy weights.

The carousel of pictures is in itself a story of her dedication. She has made immense efforts to further her powerlifting career which is in its nascent stage. She can be seen strapping her weightlifting belt. And then safely maneuver herself through the overwhelming weights.

Jordan informed the world on September 10 that she was venturing into the realm of powerlifting. Just a year later of giving birth to her daughter, she showed tremendous courage and resilience in securing a name in this sport. She wrote on ‘X’, “I competed in my first powerlifting competition today and took the gold! 8 weeks ago my friend Brandon talked me into signing up for this and I’m grateful that he did.”

She further elaborated on her training sessions saying that she was undertaking them under the guidance of Tony Brady. She said, “So Tony Brady and I started training for the deadlift. I worked my as* off to get stronger and silenced …any doubts in my mind to get it done.”

Further, she elucidated the journey she’s led with a toddler’s responsibility along with the zeal for her new passion. Jordan Plant detailed, “It’s only been a year since I’ve had a baby so to do this for myself and compete against other women felt so rewarding. From training 4-6 days a week at 8:30am to cutting weight & rehydrating with Perfecting Athletes to performing this process was something I’ll never forget.”

However, her journey in powerlifting has not been just for the sake of it. She has actually put in work and that is aptly evident. Talking about the weight she reached and the pounds she lifted, Jordan outlined, “I weighed in at 130.6lbs and lifted 259lbs.”

A power couple at the core of this narrative, Jordan could not end her story without thanking her husband for the support she’s received from him.
