“Not the Pythagorean Theorem, Not the Photosynthesis”: Jake Paul Declines Any Role of School in His Success

Jake Paul and his brother Logan Paul from Northeast Ohio gained prominence in the world of the internet. After the initial success on Vine, they hopped on to YouTube to even greater success. This is especially so for Jake, who has now shifted his attention to boxing. However, after all the success he has achieved, the Problem Child’ doesn’t attribute any of it to his school education.

Well, it’s not the first time the 27-year-old has stated something like this. Previously, he had even written a diss track titled- “My Teachers,” in which he shared his dissatisfaction with the school system. At one time he had even started his own school for social media stars called, “Edfluence.” Here’s what Jake Paul had to say about the role of his school in his success.

Jake Paul wants to teach his kids practical life skills

Jake Paul recently had a conversation with George Janko, on his podcast, where he expressed his views on the role of traditional education in his journey, stating, “Not a single thing I was taught in my eight hours a day for a decade of school, not one thing, besides what happens outside of the classroom which was how to be like social and make friends, maybe.”

Paul emphasized the importance of providing practical life skills to children. He said, “I work so hard so that when I have kids, I can semi-retire and spend the majority of my day teaching them these things that I wish had been taught to me in xyz.”

Reflecting on his own experience, Paul highlighted the limitations of formal education. He noted, “Not the Pythagorean theorem, not the Photosynthesis,” as contributing factors to his success. He envisions a future where he can actively participate in his children’s education, aiming to equip them with tools beyond the conventional curriculum.

In the meantime, he has a fight coming up against Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland for which he is preparing at the moment.

Paul’s opponent for the upcoming March bout

Jake Paul recently shocked fans with the announcement of his upcoming bout against former Golden Gloves champion, Ryan Bourland. This move surprised many, considering Paul’s recent victory over Andre August, marking his first encounter with a seasoned boxer other than Tommy Fury, last year.

Transitioning from amateur to pro, Bourland, now 35, boasts a significant background in the sport. Initially, as a light-heavyweight, he enjoyed a successful start, clinching seven consecutive wins. However, a setback in 2015, a knockout loss to Israel Duffus, interrupted his winning streak.

After a brief hiatus, Bourland returned in 2022 as a cruiserweight, securing a knockout victory over Santario Martin. This marked his first win in four years, boosting his record to an impressive 17-2. Now, he gears up to face Jake Paul on March 2, aiming for the most significant win of his career.
