Very few get the chance to become a world champion, however, there are certain things in life that even a champion does not have control over. Enzo Maccarinelli won the WBU Cruiserweight title in 2003 by beating Bruce Scott. He went on to win many other championships including the WBO title. Unfortunately, belts cannot stop the passing of loved ones.
The retired boxer in an interview looked back into his childhood and said, “I used to go up to the gym with my dad, who owned the gym and had my first fight ever at ten.” His father, Mario, was a boxing champion in the Italian army. It is obvious where the former champion’s skills come from. Maccarinelli recently took to X, to tweet a tribute to his late father who passed away 12 years ago and many fans reacted to the post. Let us look into it.
