“What the F**k”: Conor McGregor Receives Chilling Response From Carl Froch as He Comments on David Haye’s Historic Title Win Over 7 Feet 2 Inch Tall Giant

An aerial view might put them miles apart. Two conflicts, two pairs of different belligerents, contrasting eras. In an ideal world, they shouldn’t be meeting, just like two parallel lines. But in this case, breaking all physical laws, they finally met. Yesterday, David Haye celebrated the fourteenth anniversary of his WBA Heavyweight title win. He won the title, defeating a 7-foot-2-inch-tall giant named Nikolai Valuev on November 7, 2009, in Nuremberg, Germany. He shared a few photos and a clip of the feat through his Instagram handle early today.

However, as much as all the fans must be rooting for him, the fireworks were definitely happening elsewhere. Conor McGregor and former Super Middleweight champion Carl Froch‘s beef has been cooking well over the last six years. It goes back to the time when ‘The Notorious’ fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. As one of the commentators on the boxing match, Froch was conspicuously unmerciful about the mixed martial artist’s boxing skills. As it appeared, he is yet to budge from the stance. McGregor joined the rest of the fans in celebrating Haye’s 14-year-old feat. Froch followed suit-but posed an unsettling question to the UFC legend.

A Super Middleweight verdict for a Heavyweight triumph

Six years ago, one of the biggest crossover boxing matches ever occurred. At Paradise, Nevada’s T Mobile Arena, fighting the penultimate bout of his outstanding career, undefeated champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. took on then-UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor. Despite the Irishman’s valiant efforts, the American champion eventually won with a technical knockout. Froch, then a commentator for the fight, criticized the mixed martial arts great, saying that his punches lacked power.

In the latest round, Conor McGregor, taken in by David Haye hammering the gigantic Valuev, commented, “What a performance!” There were the usual responses to his comments. However, among them stood @carlcobrafroch. He said, “@thenotoriousmma, and what the f**k do you know about Boxing!” It’s still not clear whether the Irish MMA fighter has responded back or not.

On March 8, 2008, David Haye became the unified Cruiserweight champion, defeating Enzo Maccarinelli. But that was the last time he fought in the 200-pound division. Eight months later, he fought his first Heavyweight bout. A year later, he was ready to make a move for a world title.

He challenged the Russian WBC Heavyweight title holder, Nikolai Valuev. Highly accurate punches, constant movements, jabs, and counterattacks saw ‘The Hayemaker’ win the bout by a majority decision.

On his Instagram post, Hay wrote, “Fourteen years have elapsed since the day I clasped the dream of my youth, that vision which danced in the imagination of a child now realized.” However, he reminded everyone that for a determined climber, no mountain is too high and no obstacle is too great. Everyone has the slingshot; they need to defeat their own demons. However, to make the most of the journey, we must take care to go slowly and enthusiastically along it.
