Fans in the UK finally got to see their world champion up close and personal. ‘At Home with The Furys’ saw the release of its first episode the day before yesterday. The buzz around the family life of one of the most recognizable names globally has been gaining ground for some time now. So Tyson Fury, who will face Francis Ngannou in October, addressed all the fans directly for making the show a massive hit. But as it became apparent from the comments, not all the fans seemingly agreed with ‘The Gypsy King.’

Sharing a clip through his Instagram handle, Fury said, “Tyson Fury here, just want to say a massive massive shout out to Netflix and all the team and everybody in the UK and around the world who made us go to number one [number one], Netflix on the second day of being released we are now number one thank you to everybody you made this happen God bless you…” Many of those who commented may want him to get his act together in the ring first.

What about boxing?? Fans check out Tyson Fury

Sam seems very angry at Tyson Fury. Calling out the WBC champion for mainly catering to the young-teen crowd, the user urged him to fight against a genuine, pedigreed boxer instead of ending up a cloned version of reality TV star Kim Kardashian. “Your new fan base is 18-year-old girls. Get in the ring with a proper fighter, for f**k sake, and stop trying to be the next Kim Kardashian.” The user said.

Danny Smith said that Fury should go for belt unification or if he cannot do so, retire and surrender his belts. He is bringing the sport into disrepute. As a result, many fans and followers aren’t willing to accept it. Smith said, “Either unify the belts or f**in retire and vacate yours. You’re making a mockery out of boxing and losing a lot of respect from your fans, mate.

On similar lines, Omar El Kaissi added that his chitchat would not take Fury anywhere. It is pointless against someone like Oleksandr Usyk: “All this shouting won’t beat Usyk, mate.Ross Clark highlighted that churlish behavior often becomes a big hit with the crowd: “Shows that have clowns in them are usually pretty popular, though.

Finally, PJ Glover shared his thoughts on the documentary. The user called Fury’s fight with Francis Ngannou a ‘circus fight’ and said the Netflix show equals it. Blaming him for going completely off-track, he wished the champion would find his way back from the pursuit of wealth. Glover said, “It’s [about] as interesting as your circus [fights] with a UFC fighter. You have lost your way, and I pray you [to] stop being so [money-oriented] and find your way again.

The big fight

Tyson Fury will fight former UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It would be the pro boxing debut for the latter. For Fury, he last fended off Derek Chisora‘s challenge to defend his WBC title on December 3. The bout with ‘The Predator’ comes after a slew of match negotiations around the year failed to bear fruit. After the Anthony Joshua fights and Usyk’s title defense next week, the Fury-Ngannou match, through a crossover, is one all the Heavyweight fans look forward to.
