Cardi B Gushes Over Kobe Bryant Tribute as Widow Vanessa Seemingly Approves Her Track

Cardi B seems to be a big fan of Vanessa Bryant of late on social media. Bryant, the wife of the late basketball legend Kobe Bryant, recently posted a private message on her Instagram story that has fans speculating. The post featured lyrics to Cardi B’s song “Enough (Miami),” which included a mention of Bryant. Although Vanessa didn’t explicitly mention Kobe in her post, fans were quick to connect the dots.
Cardi B, noticing this, took to her social media to express her appreciation for Vanessa’s gesture. In a since-deleted story, Cardi reportedly said she was honored that her music was associated with Kobe’s memory. She wrote, “Ommmmmggggggg I’m gaggin…this made me soooo happy. I’m glad Mrs. Big Bryant like the line.”
This exchange between the two celebrities sparked discussion online, with many praising Vanessa for seemingly approving a plaque of Cardi B in honor of her meeting. In her latest song,”Enough”, Cardi raps, “Did a lot of winnin’, lot of scorin’ (Yeah) Cardi Bryant, Cardi Jordan…“

Well, winning she has done. The Grammy Award-winning rapper holds the record for the most No.1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 by a female rapper with 5. That might be where the similarity with the Black Mamba comes in. A fan on Twitter pointed out the fact that Bryant won 5 championships and Cardi has 5 No.1 hits.

The Los Angeles Lakers icon wasn’t the only one the 31-year-old name-dropped as she called herself Jordan as well. Nevertheless, she holds a special place in her heart for Bryant. And it was evident after he passed away.

Cardi B was in disbelief after Kobe Bryant’s passing
After Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and 9 others passed away in a terrible helicopter crash, Cardi was one of the first celebrities to react to the heartbreaking news. She tweeted, “F****n terrible.” In an interview with 9Mag TV a few days after that, she opened up on how emotional she had been.
She said, “I don’t know what’s been going on with me lately but I’ve been emotional. A lot of things been making me tear, especially on social media lately has been making me cry a lot. With the Kobe Bryant passing, I see a post, I just start tearing.“

Clearly, the mother of 2 was hurt by Kobe’s passing, as most of the world was. Her getting a stamp of approval from Vanessa Bryant must have made her jump with joy. And her reaction to Vanessa’s shoutout indicates that exact thing. There might not be many people on this planet who have had an impact quite like the Black Mamba.
