His most fulfilling moment came in December 2022, when the Colorado native was invited onto the court by the Denver Nuggets mascot, Rocky. In the video, he shared on December 26th, 2022, the narrator explains, “That is Austin Fritts, the local kid who enjoyed dunking over Rocky the mascot.” And he hasn’t looked back since.
He was again invited by the Nuggets to electrify the crowd with his dunks during the Western Conference Finals between the Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers. In one of the pics he shared, he can be seen in the same frame as LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He captioned the post, “I got legends watching over me👀”
He was then invited to an In-season Tournament game hosted at the T-Mobile Arena by the Boston Celtics. In that video, he said, “Dreams are real bro.” He got a little emotional as anybody would. He met many players from the Celtics roster, from Jayson Tatum to Derrick White. White also gave him his signed jersey.

This appearance in Boston was followed by his stunning showing in Indiana during the All-Star weekend. But did you know that Fritts was a superstar in High School?
Austin Fritts was a major attraction in high school
Playing for Green Mountain, Lakewood High School, Fritts averaged 17.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 20 games. Moreover, he shot the ball well, averaging 48% from the field. While he made 30 threes in his junior year, it came at a 31% 3Pt FG. The versatile wing helped the team finish with an 8-15 record. But things only got better from there.
In his senior year in 2015-16, Fritts’ numbers improved considerably. In 23 games played, he averaged 18.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. His shooting numbers also saw a rise. His overall FG% rose from 48% to 52% in his senior year. Additionally, he shot 38% from deep, while he attempted fewer shots from outside the arc. The improved numbers had a direct impact on the team’s performance as well and their record for the year was 11-13. But it was his jaw-dropping plays that gained the most attention even in High School.
In an Instagram post from January 2015, fans can see his stunning athleticism on display. He seems to jump over the ENTIRE defense for a slam off the backboard. He captioned the post, “Sorry for the quality but it’s the only one we got. Thanks again @alecstowell for the pass and #RamNation for the support!”
