Celebrating Major Milestone With 9,400 People, Shaquille O’Neal’s Ex-Wife Shaunie Finds Comfort 44 Miles Away From Home

Shaunie Henderson’s calendar is jam-packed! Since returning from a vacation, she’s had multiple public engagements and hopped on and off many flights. Her most recent event was a major one. It involved inspiring a few young people who are about to head out into the world. No one is better than a successful entrepreneur to give them a pep talk.  After some well-deserved family time, Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife was back to work. Her latest engagement took her from Los Angeles to Texas.

The Houston resident took the short hike alongside her husband and personal cheerleader, Keion Henderson. This time, Shaunie got to give her first commencement address.

Shaunie inspires Texas college graduates

Shaunie Henderson has been steadily ticking off things in her packed calendar. Since her European vacation, she’s dropped by Virginia for the Transcend Jesus Girl Summit and attended her husband, Pastor Keion’s speaking service. She made a stop in LA to hang out with her kids this week before hopping on the plane again. Henderson landed in Texas and headed to Prairie View A&M University. The university invited her to give the commencement speech for the Class of 2023. This is a huge deal for the media mogul as it’s her first time giving such an address.

It’s a well-deserved honor as her introducer said, “Mrs Henderson knows firsthand about success.” She shared snippets from the spectacular day on Instagram and fans are loving it. The video starts with Shaunie and Keion arriving on campus. An excited Shaunie warned the camera, “Wait till I get this robe on!”

She did a run-through and toured the campus before her robes were delivered to her. Ever the helpful husband, Pastor Keion helped her put it on. He took a moment to shake his head at Shaunie’s excited fidgeting.

When it came time for her speech, Shaunie gushed about the honor of addressing nearly 10,000 young graduates as a mom. She briefly gave a shoutout to the band in the bleachers too.

The 48-year-old also mentioned her younger son, Shaqir O’Neal who plays basketball at Texas Southern University, PVAMU’s rivals.

She received some playful boos when TSU came up. Shaunie cut that with this banger of a line. “Don’t y’all boo me. Boo your coaches for not recruiting my baby.”

Family first for Shaunie Henderson

Shaunie stopped in Los Angeles to hang out with her kids, Me’Arah, Shareef, Myles, and Shaqir.

Besides dinner and a night out, Shaunie and Keion also jumped on the TikTok bandwagon with the kids. She shared this on Instagram too and her sons reshared her posts.

Her family is always hyping her up even from a distance. After her commencement address, Keion was in the comments reminding her, “You were phenomenal.”

Besides many celebrity friends, even her eldest Myles O’Neal couldn’t miss celebrating her. He commented a series of fire emojis that basically summed up Shaunie Henderson.
