Finding a new home in the competitive gaming scene is a bit of a hard task.; especially when it’s a game like Call of Duty. As for one pro player, that task has been completed. Doug “Censor” Martin has joined Triumph, an affiliate team of the New York Subliners.

Censor has been a part of some of the major names in the scene. He has played for Team Envy, OptiC Gaming, and even for the FaZe Clan. He initially made a name for himself playing Call of Duty Black Ops with Quantic Nex-TT-hreat. His first major win came at MLG National Championship 2011 with the team taking home the trophy.

Earlier in 2018, Censor had retired from the professional scene citing stress as the reason. He returned last year with the New York-based COD team.

Censor joins Triumph for Call of Duty Challengers League

The New York Subliners kept Censor out on the bench all season. He did not play a single match. However, now that he is with Triumph, he won’t be short of opportunities. Triumph is one of the top teams in the Call of Duty Challengers League; a league operating right below the pro leagues.

Censor had a hard time settling in. He got no playtime and he says that the only thing he did was grind Modern Warfare all year. The player shared his excitement as well.

“It’s been a crazy cycle for me. Its definitely taking a toll on me. As you guys can see my Youtube channel, I haven’t uploaded consistently because I’m grinding this game so long and for so many hours just to get one opportunity.”

Triumph did not outright give him a spot; Censor was given a tryout at scrim. Having been impressed, the team added him to their roster. Censor will be in a tournament later this weekend, which will be his biggest bout in recent times.

Playing as a substitute for NY Subliners never really brought out the best in him. He is a proven player but would now be looking to make a mark yet again. At last, his time has come again after a frustrating few months.
