We have seen lately that Chael Sonnen has been very critical of Jon Jones. Chale has even gone ahead and called Jones “Stupid” on multiple occasions for Jones’ lack of understanding of the fight business.

Chael has also said that Jon Jones can’t sell an arena unless he is fighting Daniel Cormier. And rightfully so. The light heavyweight division doesn’t seem exciting at all at the moment. Sure, you can come up with names such as Johny Walker and Dominick Reyes. However, it’s very unlikely that someone can make an argument that those fighters can beat Jones.

Before the DC vs Stipe rematch, everyone believed that if Cormier wins then he will fight Jones again to avenge his loss. But things did not go as planned for the former Double champ, Daniel Cormier. Cormier lost his title to Stipe Miocic in a grueling battle.

Chael Sonnen recently uploaded a video on his channel and said:

“The outcome of the DC vs Stipe has changed the future tremendously. That fight cost Jon Jones 8 million dollars. Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier will never again be discussed again, let alone be happen.”

Chael Sonnen also believes that Daniel Cormier will be back for another fight, but it won’t be for a fight with Jon Jones.

” I can assure you that you are going to get Daniel back. But the only way you are getting Daniel back if it’s with Stipe.”

Chael Sonnen seems to be right this time. Nate Diaz vs Conor McGregor is the most anticipated fight in combat sports history for a reason. Nate Diaz won the first match. Conor came back and avenged his loss. Now we can’t wait to see them fight for the third time. That’s what we have over here. With one win and one loss, both Stipe and Daniel Cormier need to fight again for the title of “Best heavyweight of all time”.

Jon Jones has defeated Daniel Cormier twice in the light heavyweight division. So if the fight were to happen between Jones and Cormier again it should have happened at the heavyweight division. However, Daniel Cormier just lost to Stipe in an attempt to defend his title. So if there is a fight that must happen at heavyweight division, it has to be Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic.
