Chael Sonnen is known for his unfiltered views on the UFC and MMA world. In his latest video, Chael Sonnen was seen speculating about the light heavyweight belt having been taken away or relinquished by Jiri Prochazka. Sonnen’s views come on the back of Jamahal Hill becoming the Light Heavyweight champion after defeating Glover Texeira. While it is understood that Prochazka relinquished his belt because he was injured. Sonnen speculated that the injury wasn’t so serious that Prochazka had to relinquish his belt.

Chael Sonnen was talking on his YouTube channel which has over 1 Million followers. The video has gathered reactions from fans in plenty. The Video has gathered almost 25 k in only a few hours. Sonnen felt that the injury wasn’t so serious that Jiri Prochazka wasn’t serious enough to have him leave his belt.

Sonnen Suspects Jiri Prochazka injury

‘The American Gangster’ didn’t seem very convinced that Jiri Prochazka’s injury was serious enough. He felt the UFC had stripped him off the belt and the narrative that Prochazka had relinquished the belt was only an eyewash. In his video, Sonnen said, “that belt was no longer Prochazka’s, it came on the heels of an MRI of an x-ray of a meeting with doctors regarding the shoulder of Prochazka do we all agree does everybody have the same facts here okay that would tell us that that shoulder must be pretty damn bad”.

He, however, went ahead and mentioned why he thought the injury was not so serious. He said, “never once was there so much as a bag of ice on that shoulder forget about a cast forget about whoa we’re headed out to Colombia and we’re gonna do this stem cells. Forget about anything he looked good the whole time he continued to interact with the audience the whole time he was a tremendous sport the whole time”

‘Denisa’ was the light heavyweight champion when he suffered a shoulder injury in training. He gave up his belt in order to ensure that the progression of the division wasn’t halted. After Jamahal Hill’s victory, Prochazka congratulated him but fired warning shots about his comeback too.

Jiri Prochazka being injured or not being injured is a mystery now. Chael Sonnen definitely seems to be of the opinion that the injury was not so serious.
