In the current season, Swiatek kicked off proceedings on a great note. She won the tournament in Adelaide, prior to the Australian Open. It was her first title since she won at Roland Garros last year. At the Australian Open, she had a decent run before she lost in the fourth round to Simona Halep.

Both Polish players didn’t go very far in Madrid

Recently, both Polish players were seen playing in the Mutua Madrid Open. Unfortunately, they both suffered losses and failed to go deep into the tournament. Iga lost in the Round of 16 matches to Ashleigh Barty, whereas Hubert lost to John Millman in the Round of 64 matches.

After Madrid, the next event for them is the Italian Open in Rome. Following that, they will feature in the second Grand Slam of the season at Roland Garros. It will be interesting to see how both players perform, especially Swiatek, since she will be the defending champion this year.
