Tennis ace Iga Swiatek took the world by storm when she won the French Open last year. Another Polish player that has emerged on Tour is Hubert Hurkacz. Both players have brought Poland to the biggest stages in tennis, and Iga is the first Polish player to win a Grand Slam title.

Recently, it was announced that Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz will play an exhibition event against each other. The match will be played on July 13 and will be held in the Polish city of Gdynia. The match is being held for charitable purposes.

The exhibition event will be conducted just after the Wimbledon Championships are over. After that, there will be a WTA 250 event taking place at the same venue. Iga Swiatek is expected to feature in this tournament.

In the current season, Swiatek kicked off proceedings on a great note. She won the tournament in Adelaide, prior to the Australian Open. It was her first title since she won at Roland Garros last year. At the Australian Open, she had a decent run before she lost in the fourth round to Simona Halep.

Recently, both Polish players were seen playing in the Mutua Madrid Open. Unfortunately, they both suffered losses and failed to go deep into the tournament. Iga lost in the Round of 16 matches to Ashleigh Barty, whereas Hubert lost to John Millman in the Round of 64 matches.

After Madrid, the next event for them is the Italian Open in Rome. Following that, they will feature in the second Grand Slam of the season at Roland Garros. It will be interesting to see how both players perform, especially Swiatek, since she will be the defending champion this year.
