Fans recently got a sneak peek of Chase’s witty personality after Hendrick Motorsports recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a snippet of a video centered around Google web searches about the Bill Elliott offspring.

In the video, Chase reveals the first question that reads, ‘Is Chase Elliott related to Bill Elliott?’. Instead of taking the regular route of answering the question, Chase lets his amusing side shine with a quick-witted response.

“Yeah, I think so. I think that is my father; last time I checked,” he amusingly quipped. He also hilariously took a dig at his crew for including such an obvious question in the session.

“Is that the best you got? That was awful!” he told his crew members as the latter could be heard laughing off-camera.

The camaraderie between the NASCAR regular and his crew further shows why Chase keeps winning so many hearts. Even fans couldn’t keep themselves from asking for more in the 45-second video.

This is not the first time that Chase has shown people his quick-witted humor. Chase even has a go-to profession reserved for people who don’t recognize him!

Chase has a backup identity for people who don’t know him

In a 2021 interview with The Athletic, Elliott gave an interesting answer when asked, “When you meet someone who doesn’t know who you are, do you ever lie about what you do for a living?”

He answered, “On occasion. My latest go-to has been I work at NAPA, which is convenient. I’m from north of Atlanta, right? Their headquarters are in Atlanta. So I work in the sports department of NAPA headquarters — which is not really a lie. So at the end of the day, I feel like that’s a pretty honorable answer.”

This interesting take on the question surely gives us a glimpse of what makes him popular. His performances on the track are definitely promising, but it is his off-track persona that makes him equally admired.
