As Activision rolls out Season One of Black Ops Cold War, it introduces a bucket load of content for players. However, this Christmas, it has ensured that everyone, even if they don’t own the game, can join in on the fun. What is Christmas, if not a time to enjoy with friends and family?

Party up with your friends and jump into Cold War as the game goes free for a week.?If you already own Black Ops Cold War, now?s the perfect time to invite your friends to squad up and see what they?ve been missing out on!

The free access week starts on Thursday, December 17 at 10 am PT. It runs through Thursday, December 24, at 10 am PT.

Over the course of a week, players will be able to access a variety of multiplayer modes and playlists for free. Moreover, the event is divided into two stages. Initially, players will have access to three separate modes and two playlists. However, with the second stage, players can access all the content available in stage one, and more.

In stage one, players can access a combination of modes and playlist. These will include those new to the game in Season One, as well as a few available since launch.

2v2 Gunfight, Team Deathmatch, and Domination are the game modes available in stage one for free. In addition to this, the Nuketown Holiday 24/7 and Raid the Mall playlists are also a part of stage one. Stage 1 starts on Thursday, 12/17, and ends on Monday, 12/21.

Stage picks up right where players leave. From December 21, in addition to all the content from stage one, players can play the Prop Hunt, Combined Arms: Hardpoint, and Fireteam: Dirty Bomb. This stage will last till the end of the event, that is, December 24.

While all this is going on, players will also have access to double XP and battle pass progression throughout the week. This will be available to both free to play players as well as those who own the game. Moreover, for players who own the game as well as Call of Duty Warzone players the double XP continues from 25th December till 28th December.
