Though this fight was a quick one the journey to this victory has been a long one for the McGregor camp. After Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated Conor McGregor in their first encounter, Conor stayed away from the sport for over a year.

He became the first fighter to have three knockout wins in featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight division. While the fans are speculating what is next for Conor McGregor, Coach Kavanagh can’t help but look back at the training camp leading up to UFC 246.

Conor Complained to Coach Kavanagh After the Last Spar
McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh recently reflected upon the training camp of Conor and shared an interesting incident when Conor complained to him for bringing in easy opponents for the sparring. After the last spar for UFC 246, Conor felt that the sparring partners should have been heavier as he was going to compete at welterweight, which is not his ideal weight division.
